Only your public nickname and your scores appear on the leaderboards. Your actual name, email and mobile number stay private.
Who runs this leaderboard?
The operator is Byron Digital. For privacy requests or questions, contact ash@byrondigital.co.uk. Operator: confirm your legal identity, contact details and the data protection information below before going live.
What we collect and why
- Nickname: publicly identifies your score in the rankings.
- Real name and email address: used for account administration, verifying email ownership and contacting you about your arcade account.
- Mobile number: optional unless the form says otherwise; reserved for contacting participants about matters they have entered into, such as a future prize promotion, not for unsolicited marketing.
- Score and game activity: records games, levels, scores and play times; helps manage fair rankings and investigate misuse.
- Security information: temporary rate-limiting records derived from network addresses, helping protect the service from abuse.
Public and private information
The public leaderboard returns nicknames, scores, ranks and the time a score was achieved. It does not publish real names, email addresses, mobile numbers or marketing choices. Authorised arcade administrators can access contact details for administration.
Optional email updates
You can opt in to receiving game and event updates when registering. This is separate from playing games and does not affect your score. You can withdraw your permission by contacting the operator. Contact details collected for account administration or prize contact are not automatically marketing contacts.
How long is information kept?
One-time codes and expired temporary sessions are removed by routine maintenance. Unverified registrations are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours. Verified profiles and scores are retained while required to operate the leaderboard or deal with legitimate recordkeeping requirements, and can be reviewed for deletion on request. Operator: publish a definite retention schedule before launch, taking account of any future prize promotions.
Your choices and rights
Contact Byron Digital using the email above to request access, correction, withdrawal of marketing consent, or deletion of your personal information. Some legal obligations may affect whether certain records can be removed immediately. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Future prize promotions
Prizes are not included in this version. Any future promotion will have its own entry terms, eligibility requirements, contact and verification process, retention period and any additional privacy information before people enter.
